No, I have given up on watching news programs and reading papers. Why should I? The last article I read was about a toddler found stabbed to death in an elementary school parking lot. And that isn’t fiction; that was in the New York Times. Such grotesque travesties happening routinely in this day and age is beyond my realm of reality, and staying abreast to all current issues is enough to drive one crazy. For some people, such as the individual who slaughtered this toddler and left them for dead, death is too kind of a punishment, and torture isn’t punishment enough.
The UN? When did this turn into a political conversation? Fuck the UN! The United Nations of pussies and idiots! The whole philosophy is perhaps sound, and one day maybe we will have rational, logical thinkers and good people in it, but the UN today? Five—the five permanent members on the United Nations Security Council are the largest arms dealers in the world. They supply the entire world with weapons. The United States, France, United Kingdom, Russia, and China. Looks like all the big dogs, are still fucking dogs.
The UN is a completely useless committee, and ploy to make humans seem more civilized. It will continue to be ineffectual until humans are all on the same playing field as to the meaning of life, and our purpose on this planet. It’s a big jerk-off party. Create problems, solve problems, look bad, look good—just the same cyclical vicious process.
The meaning of life is really quite simple, but as intelligent and sophisticated as we are, we can’t seem to implement this harmonious philosophy for living. I know many who know the meaning of life, so I’m not going to say we cannot figure out how to co-exist as a united people. It is just unfortunate that most people throughout the world, including this country have their heads screwed on with ass backward views and amoral philosophies—but nonetheless they know they are completely right.
A friend of mine, one of those people you occasionally bump into once a week when you are around your town at a bar, or supermarket, or 7 Eleven—we started to talk about writing. Little did I know he too considers himself to be a writer. Long story short, he asked me what my approach and philosophy towards writing was, and it turns out that although we have a different approach, our philosophy and what we want to accomplish with our writing is one in the same. I mean we disagree soup to nuts about most issues, we have different dreams and ambitions, but we live life the same, our energies are in sink. We both damn well know what the world could and should be, and he assured me that we are not alone. There is an entire wave of individuals that are just as disgusted as we are, and a change is inevitable. I am sure a change is inevitable, but whether it is for better, or for worse is yet to be seen. I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to form a collective consciousness?
Anyways, I say fuck looking at the UN as some pristine and holy council of sophisticated intellectuals from around the world, and fuck the news because it is always negative, and sometimes horrific. The real problem is that those who are in charge, and those in the media are so desensitized and out of touch with reality that there views should really be swept under the carpet and ignored. It is time for us to all start thinking as citizens of the world, it is time for us to try to make our communities and environments better, and in doing so life will become better, and laws concerned with humanity will no longer be necessary because all people will have an inherent sense of right and wrong, and realize that evil, malicious behavior is never right. But how can that be realized when we still worship false malicious gods.
You think the God of the Old Testament wasn’t evil killing the first-borns of the Egyptians, creating an apocalyptic flood, and condemning all mankind because some bitch coaxed an idiot into eating a forbidden apple? I don’t mean to pick on Christianity because the Christians aren’t strapping bombs to themselves, or crashing planes into buildings, or teaching hatred—but when are the Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus—when are people in general going to understand that there is only one God, and he is all of us, and we are all of him. The human mind has always looked for psychological crutches when in actuality the only belief one needs to have is the belief in themselves, and the belief that they are a good person, and in doing good they are contributing to the positive energy of this planet.
We should walk with faith in ourselves—never trusting our sight, because the eyes play tricks; never trusting our ears, because we hear what’s convenient; and never trusting our religious leaders and holy books, our politicians and government, our logic and rationality. We are confined to the workings of our minds, and our minds have been corrupted, have been weakened, have been crippled and cluttered with useless information and cannot be trusted. Trust only your gut; trust only your instincts to love, only your instincts to fight, or to flee; you instincts will never lead you astray because they work on an unconscious, on a subconscious level and always lead you in the correct direction. Don’t try to make sense of anything because there is nothing to make sense of. Be comfortable not knowing. Not knowing why you love someone, why you hate someone, why people die, or get sick. Only surround yourself with positive energy, and disassociate yourself form anything negative even if it is difficult.
A toddler found stabbed. A toddler found stabbed. A little baby, found dead in a pool of blood—we did this. Not just one person, but every person. We are a collective whole. This reflects poorly on all humanity, but then again humanity doesn’t exist. We are not, nor have we ever been better than any of the animals that occupy this earth. We are animals. We have come so far, but we have gone nowhere, and we will continue to go nowhere until we exude goodness, until we transcend our physical bodies, until we evolve into purely positive energy. Only when we can transcend time and space and the confines of the reality that we have become some complacent in, will we ever exist. Come on, let’s go get lunch!
