The First Annual Turkey Drive (#TurkeyDrive) on Twitter is now OVER. After thousands of Re-Tweets during the course of 5 days, 57 Tweeters & Friends donated a GRAND TOTAL of $1,248. The Tree of Unity has sent out the donated proceeds & TOGETHER we have all brightened up the lives of those less fortunate this Thanksgivng.

Below you will find the original information promoting this event. Although the event is over, any future donations made on this page will go to the 2nd Annual Turkey Drive happening around the same time NEXT YEAR. It was an honor to inspire folks to act. Next year, let's shoot for the sky & try to make a bigger dent feeding folks with nothing to eat.

I, Vincenzo Scipioni have teamed up with Unity 4 Humanity, Inc.'s Tree of Unity in an effort to raise money for those less fortunate this Thanksgiving Season. The very 1st ANNUAL Twitter Turkey Drive 2009 has BEGUN!

Many of you know me on Twitter as @UnseeingEyes. To date I have amassed over 11,500 readers & friends--all showing their support on a daily basis. This Thanksgiving I'm asking my Friends & the Twitter community to donate to a very special #TurkeyDrive.

Throughout the course of the TURKEY DRIVE I will be thanking individuals on Twitter for Donating, paying special tribute to them. Additionally, some of you randomly will receive special and personalized gifts from ME in the mail. Please be sure to send me a Direct Message once you donate with your Twitter handle & actual name. If you purchase clothing supporting this cause, let me know as well. (This drive will END Wednesday November 25th 12:00pm EST; obviously the donations must be collected before Thanksgiving!)

All Donations can be made by clicking on the above Turkey Drive Banner and filling out the OFFICIAL PAYPAL DONATION Form. 100% of the donated proceeds will be split equally by the Tree of Unity and go to TWO  Organizations doing amazing things; one on a National Level ( Feeding America ) & one benefiting the local community I live in & am a part of  (Long Island Cares ).
